Although everyone is doing content marketing these days, some are winners, some… not so much. Apparently, they are all doing the same thing: they offer friendly, useful and helpful content to their customers, apply soft selling techniques and are active on the social media. Why are they not successful, then?

If we are to examine a few successful content marketing examples, we will notice that they all have some common traits. Here they are:

  1. Consistent Tone of Address

Content marketing strategies  involve being active in all social media: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, etc. People usually search their favorite brands and companies on all these communication channels and they observe inconsistencies between the tone of address. It is hard to have the right approach for each social media channel unless you have a clear insight of the way people communicate on each social channel.

  1. Latest Industry News

A specialized content marketing agency  keeps track of everything that is going on in your industry and includes all the relevant latest news in the content it produces. Readers like to be kept informed and will appreciate getting news, not only helpful information from your blog and newsletter.

  1. Socializing with Industry Leaders

Nothing adds more value to your content marketing than being mentioned or liked by the leaders of your industry. These people are extremely savvy and have a reputation to keep, so they will accept socializing with your business only if you offer accurate, valuable content. Once you catch their attention, you will also get noted by their followers, and your conversion rate will grow tremendously.

To achieve these, you need a lot of time, skill and insights into various aspects of social media sharing, trust building, marketing writing skills. A hands-on approach is not going to work, because it will detract you from current business dealings. The best option is to outsource your content marketing to a specialized company.
