google update

You have probably heard a lot of website owners complaining about the last Google algorithm update affecting their business and assuring that they would never again rely on Google to get traffic to their websites, but statistics show that this is a very bad decision for business, and there are easy ways to survive updates, like quality content.

Why Not Give Google up?

You are probably disappointed and frustrated after all these algorithm updates, not knowing what works and what does not, but quitting is no solution, and you know why? Simply because while you may forget about Google and focus on other ways to promote your business, your target customers will still use it to find the products and services you need.

Of course, you can approach them on the social networks, attract them through other blogs or through ad campaigns, but they will still check your business on Google and do their research to see what your competition has to offer.

Willingly or not, using the Internet brought in a certain level of education for the buyers. They no longer rush blindly to the first store they see, but they compare prices, quality and customer feedback, to make sure they get the most out of the money they pay.

So, no matter how you look at things, you need Google.

How Can You Convince Google That Your Website Deserves a High Rank?

  1. Give up automatic tools – No matter if you were using them to create backlinks or for content spinning, they are probably the ones that attracted Google’s rage upon you. No one is saying that you should just wait for people to discover your site, but do everything manually, and make it look like people have already discovered your site and they love it.
  2.  Focus on quality content – You have every reason in the world to do so, because content is vital not just for SEO, but also for drawing traffic, for boosting sales, for building a reputation and for bonding with customers.

Indeed, the days when you were blasting your site with thousands of low PR backlinks and spun the same article ten times without worrying for grammar, spelling or originality are long gone. Instead of helping you watch your site move forward in SERPs, such strategies will make sure Google users will never find you.

Quality contain is the currency that will always buy you Google’s appreciation and, implicitly, that of its visitors.
