content marketing strategy

Having a website that draws the attention of numerous customers every day is the dream of every marketer. Unfortunately, even when you hire a company that promises to deliver high quality content and spend thousands of dollars on their services, you have no guarantee that things will really turn out as such. Customers do not always fall for words and beautiful stories, and they do not always draw money out of their pockets based on what they read.

It is a risk that you have to take, unless you are ready to ask yourself a couple of questions like:

  • What does content marketing actually mean?
  • What are the advantages of integrating it into your marketing strategy?
  • What does successful content marketing involve?
  • How much will it cost?

Every beginning is difficult, but you can base your content marketing strategy on the power of habit and build habits by following the next six simple steps:

1. Get to know and understand your target audience – If you do not, chances are that you will never be able to draw visitors to your website and turn them into paying customers. Get consistent blog posts of 1300-1500 words written professionally, correctly and attractively, and show your target customers that you care about their needs and you do your best to answer those needs.

2. Help your audience find the information they need – Create relevant categories for your content and make sure every post appears in the relevant category. No one will browse through tens of posts to find the one they are interested in

3. Make sure your content is well researched and easy to read – You want to offer your target audience facts, helpful information, not blabber on how great your products or services are (the goal is to serve their needs, remember?). Don’t forget to include relevant photos and videos, graphics and real life examples to engage readers and help them through the text.

4. Choose your content provider carefully – In theory, anyone with some knowledge in the field and a rich vocabulary should be able to write an engaging blog post. In practice, many people lack the ability to engage, transmit, and, why not, the attention to details necessary to ensure accurate information, flawless grammar, proper formatting and attractive structure.

5. Promote your content – Use email newsletters, Twitter, Google Plus and Facebook posts, share your content on LinkedIn and guest post on relevant blogs in your niche.

6. Reconsider your content marketing strategy continuously – Nothing online stays the same for too long. You need to keep up with trends, anticipate and not be afraid to change things when they no longer pay out. Success in a dynamic market can only be achieved by a dynamic player. Are you such a player?
